The Silver Hen
The Silver Hen (Nikki Brown) is another popular local artist in our collective, who produces very 'Brighton' themed illustration that we sell in cards and now prints. Nikki captures the character of the area and the people in every illustration.
We asked for a quote from Nikki, who said "My illustrations were born out of voluntary work for my North Laine community magazine "The Runner" . The first illustration was for the brief of the North Laine coming back to life after Covid...card UPC DK1 ( This image remains my best seller). Some neighbours wanted to buy the images so I started to put them on Greeting Cards... Pen to Paper who love to support local artists were my first supplier. I love to capture the essence or the vibe of a place and its characters. I've just started to sell prints... and I'm now in the process of designing various stationary products."
We are very happy that we have now added Nikki's prints to our incredible collection of local artwork and want to thank her, not only for supporting our window, but for being one of our great supporters all year round!
