GC Basketmakers Arms

In 1852, Thomas Knight moved into 12 Gloucester Road to open his small basket making business. He supplemented his income by selling beer from his shop. By 1859, the premises was known as "The Basket Makers Arms". The corner location and backstreet residential settings put this pub at the heart of the NorthLaine community. A firm favourite among locals and visitors, you'll catch it's punters opening the vintage tins which adorn the walls. Each tin contains a note; written by merry philosophers of the past and present.
