Product Details

From Dragons to Lions, this is an ideal print for lovers of myths, legends and curious creatures. The Passenger Press has collaborated with Sanders of Oxford to use the wonderful illustrations by Matthäus Merian found in John Jonston's Historiae Naturalis de Quadrupedibus Libri, the great 1657 encyclopaedia which was one of the first attempts to compile stories and myths into a complete classification of the animal kingdom.

Letterpress printed in small batches on an antique press using ecologically sound Somerset paper, milled in the UK. Available in black or gold.
