This ornate journal reproduces a gold-tooled and painted binding of the Breviarium Romanum, or Roman Breviary, daily prayers prescribed by the Catholic Church and published by Claude Picques, in Lyon, France, in 1556. The stamped centerpiece was a popular design element in decorative bindings of the time.
Inside, crisp writing pages provide plenty of space for personal musings, sketching, or for recording favorite quotations or poems. The premium 120 gsm paper takes pen or pencil beautifully and light gray lines subtly guide your writing - paper is acid-free and of archival quality. The matching ribbon bookmark keeps your place. Complementary interior endsheets enhance the design. The journal's pages are edged in gilded-gold. Durable hardcover binding.
Dimensions: 18.4 x 1.9 x 22.9 cm (7.3 x 0.8 x 9 in)
