Taking a stamp order

1. Request to see the artwork
2. Ask if the stamp should be exactly the same deimensions or smaller/larger
3. Make a note of the overall required length.
4. NOTE: There shouls be at least 1mm available around the stamp face on all sides so the design itself will have to be at least 1mm less than the stamp size selected.
5. Explain that the finished article will be exactly the same scale across all axes i.e if the length is reduces by 20% then the height will be too.
6. Ensure that the customer is absolutely happy with the artwork provided
7. Select the size of the stamp from the array on the till buttons
8. Enter the handle type - note we tend to go for black wood
9. Ask if a border around the whole stamp is required and select accordingly
10. The price of the stamp includes the delivery to our shop any delivery to the customer should be a  additional charge.
11. Once the product is selected and on the till payment section enter the cutomer name in the 'Add a customer' box at the top of the till page. (NOTE: Do not put the sale through until you have completed these next steps).
12. If they are an existing customer select them, otherwise ask for their email address and telephone number and add them as a new customer.
13. If they want the stamp sending out to them, ensure you add their physical address to their customer record.
14. Press 'More Actions' at the top of the product list and select 'Create Service'
15. Skip the 'customer item' section and add notes in the next section which should include anything special requested by the customer, any issues you have raised with them (concerns), including whether they are sending an electronic copy of the artwork and the actual physical length of the design required. (Then click next)
16. In the schedule allow 3 full days from the date of the order if it is taken before 12 noon, otherwise allow 4 full days, then block an 8 hour slot on the next day for collection.
17. Save the Service Job
18. Always take the payment up front, stamps cannot be ordered without payment.
19. Ensure you have the artwork from the customer or provide them with the email address to send a jpeg on png file to
20. Put the sale through and hand the customer the receipt to bring with them, print out another reciept and add it to the artwork place it into a small paper bag, write rubber stamp order on it and hand to the supervisor.
